5 Pillars of True and Healthy relationships

Communication

Useful communication is key in any relationship. Communication is a two way thing and it ensures closeness and understanding of feelings and perceptions. Partners should feel secure expressing their feelings two-way and openly. This includes active listening and a willingness to understand each other. With good communication in place, you can be sure you are on the right part.

Trust

Trust is the anchor of a solid relationship. When the foundation is faulty, you can be sure no health relationship can be built. Partners need to trust each other’s words and actions. Sustaining and building trust involves honesty, reliability, and consistency. When it comes to trust the phrase ‘seeing is believing’ may not be 100% accurate because you have to learn to believe what you don’t see. In fact, genuine trust is to believe what you do not see.

Respect

Mutual respect is essential. Partners should respect each other’s point of view, boundaries, and individuality. Respecting differences and appreciating each other’s unique qualities helps create a supportive and positive environment. A healthy relationship is built on equality and a sense of partnership. Both individuals should contribute to decision-making, compromise, and share responsibilities in a way that feels fair to both parties. If you want respect, you have to learn to give it too.

Forgiveness

No one is perfect, and mistakes will happen. Patience and forgiveness are essential for overcoming obstacles and moving forward. Learning from mistakes and growing together contribute to the resilience of the relationship. Refusing to give up on one another is a testament to the strength of a relationship. Imperfections are inherent in our human nature, and it is the acceptance and embrace of these imperfections that set the stage for a genuine and lasting connection. When two people acknowledge each other’s flaws, vulnerabilities, and shortcomings without judgment, they create a safe space for authenticity to thrive.

Quality Time

Spending sincere time together is crucial and help build a healthy relationship. Whether it’s through shared activities, conversations, or simply being present, investing time in the relationship helps it flourish. Spending quality time together, is not just only physical present but it include body and soul together. An undivided attention which can be demonstrated by maintaining eye contact, nodding to prove active listening, and sitting side by side
